What’s your style of photography?
We take a documentary approach to photography but that doesn’t mean we don’t pose or give you directions. We do not “overpose” you, we direct you – when it comes time to take the formal group photos and portraits, but leave it up to your chemistry as a couple to find the perfect pose. We love using creative lighting, unique perspectives or angles to bring out our clients personalities and beauty while telling their wedding story. We pride ourselves on not just being photographers, but rather artists creating unique and expressive imagery.
What’s the payment schedule?
Once you've decided to book us for your wedding, a contract is sent to you online which is signed and submitted with a 30% non-refundable initial payment. Payment can be made by cash, PayPal or bank transfer with the remaining balance payable two weeks before the wedding.
Do you offer livestream?

What’s the difference between full day and partial day coverage?
We offer full day coverage (8 hours with one or two photographers) as well as partial day coverage (4 or 6 hours with one photographer). Eight hours of coverage is typically adequate for a standard wedding day, but we will need to be aware of timing and it is best to have a wedding day coordinator to assure that you stay on schedule.
A partial wedding day (6 hours of less) is a good choice if you’re looking to cut something from your day (i.e. you’re not interested in getting ready photos, you don’t have a wedding party, you’re omitting first dances/speeches, etc..).
How will my film be delivered?
12 weeks after your event day, we will send you a link to download your video. This link is active for 90 days and can be shared with family and friends via social media. You can download the video directly to your computer or laptop to keep for years to come!
Can I choose the music for my wedding film?
Due to copyright licensing we do not allow our clients to choose the music for the video. You are hiring us to create a creative narrative film that represents your wedding day after all. Our choice in music plays an integral role in your film; it allows us to set a particular mood and pace of your film. Also using royalty free music allows you to be able to share and save your video to any social media platforms without the risk of it being taken down. You’re, of course, welcome to browse around for other music licensing sources and even contact the artist directly if you like! We have had situations were special licensing has been approved.
Will our photos be in colour, black and white, or a mix?
Typically, you should expect your gallery to contain somewhere between 20%-40% black and white images. It honestly really depends on the particular wedding. Some days (or some parts of the day) may lend themselves better to black and white conversion than others.
Do you provide the RAW files?
We do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we only deliver a finished, edited product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. When hiring us to shoot your wedding, event, commercial, promo material, etc., you are investing in our crew's time and the requested edited, final deliverables. Anything outside of that scope, such as the raw un-edited media and project files isn't included.
What is your filming style?
Our style of filming is a combination of documentary and cinematic. Traditional/documentary style is normally a recording of the wedding exactly how it happens, in chronological order and the edit is what you might consider “typical” wedding videography. The Cinematic wedding film style is generally crafted around story telling: placing emphasis on telling the story of the wedding couple and their day by generating emotions, using different techniques with natural or available light, rhythm, camera focus, different angles, framing and composition, music and often non-chronological editing. It is our signature product and it’s typically what our clients book.
Do you use a drone?
We do offer drone coverage pending venue permission and the cooperation of the day’s weather. There are many factors that go into proper usage of a drone on your wedding for aerial shots. The increased popularity of drones has led to increased regulations alongside it. Some of these regulations may prevent the use of a drone at your ceremony or reception. We will work with you to find the best location and timing for drone coverage on your wedding day. Additional fees may apply.
Are engagement photos included in your packages?
In our pricing, an engagement shoot is an add-on as we’ve found that it’s not something that every couple wants. It is, however, offered at a discounted price for couples who are booking us as their wedding photographer.
When do you recommend starting photographic and cinematic coverage, and when do you recommend it ends?
If you’re looking for full-day coverage, we recommend starting 1 hour before everyone’s ready to start getting dressed. That gives us time to do some detail photos/video and a few getting ready shots before everyone’s in their formal attire. We recommend ending coverage either 5 minutes into dancing, or after the last scheduled item you want covered i.e. first dance.
Why does it take that long to receive my film?
After a typical 8 – 10 hour wedding day, we’ll end up with a lot of footage and 2 audio sources. Going through and organizing all of the footage, syncing video and audio, putting your wedding footage together to re-create your wedding day, sourcing music, color correction and grading all can take up to 40-60+ hours over the course of 15 weeks. Sometimes It’s a lot quicker, but it just depends on where in the year your wedding lands and the amount of backlog we have.
How will we receive our photos?
All couples or clients who choose a photo collection will receive a complimentary online gallery for 6 months. It allows you to share your wedding, engagement or other special photos with your family and friends easily. All you need to do is send the link and/or a password to your loved ones. So they can view and download any photos that they like. Easy for you and easy for them. This gallery will allow them to order prints as well. The video will be on Vimeo where you can download and share as well.
Do you provide retouching, color adjustment, or other corrective services?
Yes! All photos are fully edited to the extent that you see on our website. This includes tone and white balance adjustment, exposure adjustment, cropping and straightening the images, black and white conversion (when appropriate) and sharpening. Blemish removal will also be done on you and your partner, however we don’t (by default) edit out moles, freckles, scars, etc.. as they are permanent markings on your face. If you wish to have anything like that removed please let us know prior to the editing process. Please note that the retouching process does not include things such as removing braces, changing backgrounds, adding or removing people from a photo, changing the colour of a dress, blemish removal on specific guests, replacing faces, removing entire objects from the scene, changing the size and shape of body parts or other objects in the scene, adding objects to a scene and other custom work. We charge hourly for the custom post-production as the time required ranges depending on the complexity of the project. There may be additional fees if extensive editing is requested by the client.
